I remember when the Taiban Trading Post was open and selling their own barbeque sauce. Maybe this is a model for back-water enterprises: Sell something that can be marketed on the internet and have a bit of a "front room of the house" physical presence that devotees can visit and has some connection to the place. People love to visit (and spend money at) off-the-beaten-path places that are unique, but you need product distribution far beyond the storefront. Sad to say, it doesn't look like it worked for the Trading Post folks.
